    Early Saturday, a Durham police officer was killed in a car wreck after he lost control of his patrol car and slammed into an overpass support.The officer, 33, was traveling west on Holloway Street at 3am, to help a fellow officer with a traffic stop.     At a major redevelopment project in downtown Durham, a construction worker, 35, was killed in a fatal construction accident.The worker was on the inside of the old offices of Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. when a brick wall collapsed, crushing him.
