Crib Recall to Prevent Accidents

On February 28, 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of 24,000 cribs. Made in Indonesia, the cribs are equipped with faulty brackets which prevent the mattress from being fully lowered; therefore, children are put at risk of falling out of the crib. No deaths or injuries have been reported concerning any of the recalled cribs.
Recalled cribs include:
Majectice Curved Top,
Majestic Flat Top,
Essex
Brighton/Sussex
Captiva

In 2006 the Consumer Product Safety Commission reported 11,3000 emergency injuries from cribs and mattresses.
