Small pieces of metal have been found in whole wheat bread products manufactured by Sara Lee Food & Beverage.

The defect bread packages are included in a batch stamped "Best if purchased by" between the dates of July 25 and August 7, 2007. They have stamped on the product the code "222."

Most of these defective bread loaves were produced in Sara Lee's Meridian, Mississippi bakery.

These defective bread products were sold to a number of retail grocery chains and mass merchant retailers with branches in Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and far southeastern Missouri, western Georgia, southwestern Tennessee, and southeastern Louisiana, as well as the panhandle of Florida.

You can obtain more information about these recalled products by going to the manufacturer's website at www.saraleee.com. Additionally, you may call Sara Lee's toll free number at 1-800-683-3466.
